Information - Ron Massey
I was born in Scotland in 1958 and had the good fortune of a childhood and youth on Australia's Pacific coast, where I also completed study at UNSW College of Fine Arts. Living and painting in the Netherlands,a land short on physical space but generous on space for creativity . I've developed a figurative and an abstract body of work which could be described as metaphysical, symbolic and lyrical in content. The mood of a piece is always important and is often one of 'constructive melancholy'.
